SHULLSBURG (WKOW) -- Shullsburg police were called to the intersection of N. Mineral and W. Wood Streets Saturday night for the report of a pedestrian struck.
Along with the police department, Lafayette County Sheriff's and Shullsburg Rescue squad responded.
Upon arrival, it was found a 17-year-old girl was struck by a car driven by 48-year-old Sharon Deiter. The teen was struck in the crosswalk when Deiter turned onto Wood Street from Mineral Street just after 9:30 p.m.
The girl was taken to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle, where she was treated and released.
Deiter was arrested for OWI-first offense and causing injury to a pedestrian with a motor vehicle.
