Rice Lake (Press Release) - One person was injured in a house fire near Rice Lake Saturday night.
The Rice Lake Fire Department says they were called to a structure fire just before 7 p.m. on County Highway SS in the Town of Oak Grove. Upon arrival, fire crews say they found the two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Crews say the fire was on both floors and through the roof of the home. The department says the fire was under control by 8:25 p.m.
Owner Ron Wilda was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his eyes from the fire. He was then taken to LMC where he was treated and released.
The total damage is estimated at around $200,000 for the home and $100,000 for the belongings inside. The property is owned by Ronald and Constance Wilda.
