CHIPPEWA COUNTY - Two trucks went through the ice on Long Lake near Auburn. It happened on Saturday. No one was hurt.

The Chippewa County Sheriffs Department says the lakes have a lot of natural springs, which weaken the ice.

Sunday the Sheriffs Department also got word that a snowmobile went through the ice near the Highway X bridge between small Lake Wissota and the big lake.

The sled actually broke through Thursday night but Sheriff's officials were not notified until Sunday.
