PIERCE COUNTY - More is known about a deadly car fire in Pierce County.

Jeffrey Matthews, from Hager City, died in the fire. His burned car was discovered Saturday morning, southwest of Ellsworth.

Pierce County Sheriff's investigators say it appears Matthews' car got stuck in snow on property owned by his parents. At some point during the night the car caught fire.

They say Matthews never got out of the vehicle.
