TOWN OF CALEDONIA (WKOW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office seeks help from the public in the case of a stolen Smokey Bear sign.

The 6-foot tall reflective aluminum bear sign was stolen from private property in the last two to three weeks. It was located in the Merrimac area of Columbia County.

The landowner and local emergency fire warden are hoping to get this valuable public information sign back in service.

Anyone with information about the missing Smokey Bear, please contact the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 608-742-4166.
