COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (WKOW) -- The Idaho man accused of slapping a toddler during a flight from Minneapolis to Atlanta had his initial appearance in federal court Tuesday. Joe Rickey Hundley of Idaho was released by a U.S. Magistrate Judge on $10,000 bond.
Authorities say Hundley used racial slurs and slapped a 2-year-old boy on the February 8 flight. The 60-year-old has been charged with simple assault.
Hundley cannot drink alcohol or possess firearms and must surrender his passport due to conditions of his release. His attorney says he will plead not guilty.
