MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say two teens, both 16, were arrested Tuesday afternoon for their roles in a gang motivated fight.
The fight took place Tuesday morning at the South Transfer Point on Park Street. Initially, the fight was between one of the teens arrested and a 17-year-old rival gang member.
During the fight, the other 16-year old joined in and, what started as mutual combat, turned into a battery. The 17-year old was punched and kicked by the other two before they fled.
There has been a long running feud between the two gangs.
The 16-year-old boys were both arrested on tentative charges of disorderly conduct. Madison police plan to arrest the 17-year-old for his role in the fight.
