Eau Claire (WQOW) - Wednesday, an Eau Claire man received a roughly one ton surprise on his first day back at work.

Brant Brown was the third and final recipient of Morrie's Mazda, 90 Days of Giving. He won a free car and a $500 gift card from Gordy's. Brown is a chef at the Milwaukee Burger Company. Wednesday was his first day back after recovering from a heart attack. Brown told WQOW News 18 he hasn't owned a car in years, and he and his two teen daughters, have had to rely on public transportation.

"I think one of the saddest things is just not being able to take my daughters somewhere when they want to go do something, or like on the weekends, it's so limited and the buses don't run on Sunday so this is just going to be huge," says Brown. " It's amazing, I mean, I've been bouncing around all day as it is because I've just been grateful to be back at work and functioning again and then to walk into this... I'm still, I haven't landed yet..."

Bill Bertrand, the General Manager of Morrie's Mazda says, "It's his first day back at work, we didn't know that when he won the nomination that he was out with a heart attack, and an illness and walking in and seeing him today was very moving. It was really touching."

This, was the first year of the 90 Days of Giving. More than 2,600 people were nominated for the give-away.
