MADISON (WKOW) -- Manners are a lot like common sense; not everyone has them, but they should.
Anne Coulter is an expert in the etiquette and event planning world who says Americans' fast-paced, technology driven lives, and fewer family meals at home, are to blame for manners basically being MIA.
At the end of the day, Coulter says it just comes down to remembering the etiquette basics.
"It kind of goes back to what my mother told me: sit up straight, chew with your mouth closed, and you don't put your elbows on the table."
Coulter says the biggest modern day manners-buster is the cell phone and people not turning them off at the dinner table.
