BLUE MOUNDS (WKOW) -- Dane County Sheriff's detectives arrested 35-year-old Joshua Anstice, of Blue Mounds, Wednesday on a weapons charge.
The investigation stems from a missing person report last week. Detectives began searching for a Mazomanie man who had not been seen by family for several days. Information was uncovered related to Anstice threatening and assaulting the man with a handgun prior to him disappearing.
The missing man had been located and was able to substantiate the assault.
Search warrants were completed at Anstice's residence and his business, The Finishing Touch in Cross Plains. Detectives confiscated firearms and ammunition.
Anstice faces charges of endangering safety with a dangerous weapon - 2 counts and 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety - 2 counts.
This is an ongoing investigation.
