MADISON (WKOW) -- The University of Wisconsin System announced the four finalists being considered to be the next chancellor at UW-Madison.
The finalists are:
Dr. Rebecca Blank
Acting Secretary of Commerce
United States Department of Commerce, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Nicholas Jones
Benjamin T. Rome Dean, Whiting School of Engineering
The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD
Dr. Michael Schill
Dean and Harry N. Wyatt Professor of Law and Professor in the College
University of Chicago Law School, Chicago,
Dr. Kim Wilcox
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI
The four candidates will take part in a series of public forums between March 5 and March 13.
UW System President Kevin Reilly and the special Board of Regents committee will interview the finalists March 15. After that, they will recommend one candidate to the full Board of Regents, which must approve the appointment. The person selected will succeed UW-Madison Interim Chancellor David Ward, who has served since July 2011.
