Medford High School to have strong police presence Friday after threat

Medford (WQOW) - The Medford School District says a specific threat was discovered at the high school so there will be a strong presence of police in every building on Friday.

The district says the threat was discovered in a restroom.  Backpacks and coats will be checked for everyone who enters the high school on Friday.

The district says school will be in session, but wanted to notify parents so they had the information to decide whether to send their child to school.  The district says student absences on Friday will not affect them in a negative way.
