Spreading cancer awareness through Yoga on Saturday

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Free to Breathe Yogathon will take place on Saturday, to help spread lung cancer awareness.

Lung Cancer is a deadly disease, and only 15 percent of patients survive it, after five years.

The 2nd Annual Free to Breathe Madison Yogathon is being held to raise awareness and help build the movement to defeat lung cancer. All proceeds will benefit the National Lung Cancer Partnership for research, education and awareness programs.

The event is at UW-Madison's Union South, located at 1308 West Dayton Street. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.

Pamela Kreisler, a yogathon participant, joins us on 27 News at 5 on Friday to talk about the event.
