Rusk County Sheriff's Office: active meth lab found in Murray

Rusk County Sheriff's Office (PRESS RELEASE) - During the afternoon of February 22, 2013, the Rusk County Sheriff's Office along with State of Wisconsin Probation Officers conducted a search of a residence located in the Township of Murray in the northern part of Rusk County. During the search, deputies located an active methamphetamine lab as well as methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a stolen firearm and illegal firearms. 

Taken into custody were Arthur A Armstrong, age 27 and Christine L Breault, age 22.  Armstrong is initially charged with Maintaining a Drug Trafficking House, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of Drug paraphernalia, and a Probation Hold with other charges pending. Breault is initially charged with Maintaining a Drug Trafficking House, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia with other charges pending.  

The Rusk County Sheriff's Office requested the assistance of the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation for clean-up and assistance with the methamphetamine lab and the toxic byproducts of the active lab. 

Both Armstrong and Breault are being held in the Rusk County jail pending formal charges by the Rusk County District Attorney's Office.
