RACINE (WKOW) -- A Racine County judge has allowed a man accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old neighbor to stay in his home.

Robert Lambkin, 60, is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child. Prosecutors say he molested the girl on February 12 while she was walking through an alley near her Racine home.

A court commissioner set a $10,000 signature bond for Lambkin on February 13 and ordered him confined on house arrest, noting Lambkin walks with a crutch and has heart problems.

But the Journal Times newspaper reports prosecutors later filed a request that Lambkin move to a different residence because the girl had panic attacks from hearing his voice when she was outside.

On Friday, a judge instead ordered all shades be drawn inside Lambkin's home, and also ordered he cannot venture out when the girl is outside.
