Pierce County Sheriff's Department (Press Release) - On 2-23-13 at 8:36pm, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department was notified of a snowmobile accident on the trail on 1170th St. just south of STH 29 in Clifton Township. A southbound snowmobile operated by Matthew Krech, age 40 of Prescott, WI lost control of the snowmobile after hitting a bump in the trail. Krech was ejected from the sled. He was transported to River Falls hospital with undetermined injuries.

Assisting the Sheriff's Department at the scene was Prescott Police Department, Prescott Area Fire & Ambulance and River Falls Paramedics.
