MONONA (WKOW) -- Monona police investigate a gas station robbery over the weekend.
Officers were called to the Speedway Gas Station at 5450 Monona Drive Sunday just before 5:00 p.m. Witnesses told police the suspect came into the store and demanded cash.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, average build with brown hair and a stubble beard. He was wearing white and black tennis shoes, gray sweatpants, a red Wisconsin Badgers hooded sweatshirt with "Wisconsin" on the front, white sunglasses and a plaid baseball cap.
The man ran away north from the parking lot and may have gotten into a red car nearby.
