Barron (WQOW) -- A number of area boys basketball teams have advanced to WIAA Sectionals, including Barron, in Division 3.
The Golden Bears have made just two trips to boys state basketball, in 1930 & 1967. This year's team knows there's a lot of work left before they can think about Madison.
"It would be great," says Barron junior guard Jason Balts, "but we still got two more games before we get there, so, we gotta come out hard Thursday, give it everything we got, we can't save anything for later."
"I think we're going to approach it like any week," says Golden Bears senior forward Carsen Davis, "we're going to look at our defense, and we're going to try to keep tuning that up like always, and I think it's mostly about staying calm and collected, like our coach says, we just gotta be calm and take the right shots and I think we're going to do decent."
Barron battles Somerset in a Division 3 sectional semifinal, Thursday night in New Richmond.
