Madison man jumped by teens outside East Towne Mall

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police say an 18-year-old man told them he was jumped by five teens outside of East Towne Mall Saturday night.

Police say the victim was walking with his girlfriend in the mall's parking lot around 6 p.m. Saturday. Officials say the victim thought members of the group said something to him, so he responded.

The victim told police he was then punched in the face by the main aggressor, and after all five joined in the assault.

The victim was able to get away. Police say he saw his assailants get into a gray Chevrolet Impala.

The suspects are described as black males, all in their late teens. One of the suspects had long dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt. Another is described as having short hair, and was last seen wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt. A third suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie and a gray hat.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Madison Crimestoppers at (608) 266-6014.
