MADISON (WKOW) -- A taxi driver contacted Madison Police Saturday morning, after his cab's windshield was shot with a BB.
It happened in the 2000 block of Scott Lane. The driver was on the job and had passengers on board. After hearing the sharp sound of the BB, the 40-year-old driver looked up and saw a young teen standing on a balcony holding what appeared to be a rifle.
Officers arrived and found two boys, ages 12 and 13. They had a BB rifle and an Airsoft pistol.
The cab driver identified the 13-year-old as the shooter, however, the teen denied it. The boy stated, "I was raised right. I know not to lie to the police."
The 12-year-old boy, however, admitted both he and his friend had been firing the BB gun from the balcony and he told the older boy to shoot at the cab. For his honesty, the 12-year-old received a stern warning from police, while the other boy received several citations.
