MADISON (WKOW) -- A student found a spent bullet shell on the grounds of John F. Kennedy Elementary School Wednesday morning.
The casing was on top of fresh show. There have been no reports of shots being fired near the school, however, there have been past incidents where ammunition has been left on the school grounds.
The principal will be sending a letter home with students, advising parents of the latest discovery. The Madison Metropolitan School District and Madison Police continue to work together on these cases.
