River Falls (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin man convicted of shooting and killing his friend was sentenced on Friday.
Anthony Velure of River Falls was sentenced to three years in prison for the 2011 death of Josh Kurer.
The two men had served together in the military. On the night of the shooting Velure had been drinking. He told investigators he thought he had emptied the gun of all of its bullets when he pointed it at Kurer and pulled the trigger.
Police said he also told them that the two had pointed unloaded guns at each other in the past and pulled the triggers.
