JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- The Stoughton boys basketball team is headed to the WIAA state tournament for the first time in 74 years after beating DeForest 55-51 in the sectional final on Saturday. The Vikings got revenge on the Norkies after falling a year ago to DeForest on a buzzer beater in the same sectional final. Stoughton had a 12 point lead late in the 3rd quarter, but DeForest brought it within one point late in the fourth. DeForest had a chance to tie with a three, but the shot was missed with less than 10 seconds to go and Stoughton iced the game at the foul line.
