EAU CLAIRE (Press Release) – Eau Claire Healthy Communities Council needs you to weigh in on the health issues in our county and tell us what you think can be done to improve the health of Eau Claire County residents.
Community members are invited to attend a meeting from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the RCU Corporate Building, 200 River Front Terrace, Eau Claire River Room, first floor. Learn about health trends in Eau Claire County, and discuss and prioritize the health issues of our county. The goal of the meeting is to collectively decide which health issues we can focus our combined efforts on in order to guide best use of available community resources.
Eau Claire Healthy Communities Council is a collaboration of local leaders, county health and human services staff, and the medical and business community that has been vital to bringing many successful programs to the county through collaborative action.
"Working together, we can improve the health of Eau Claire county residents," says Lieske Giese, Eau Claire City-County Health Department director.
A follow-up meeting will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4; to create collaborative action plans surrounding the chosen health focus areas.
