Stoughton man arrested for breaking into restaurant

MADISON (WKOW) -- A burglar alarm activated at Pedros on E. Washington Avenue early Saturday morning.

When Madison police arrived on scene, they found the front door had been forced open.  Officers could hear noises coming from inside.

They located 27-year-old Shane Reidle, of Stoughton, inside the restaurant.  Reidle was throwing tables and chairs around.  One table was broken and three others were overturned.  A planter had been pulled down and several plates and glasses were broken.

When asked what he was doing, Reidle responded: "I don't know."  He said he and some friends had been out drinking earlier.

Reidle was arrested for burglary and criminal damage to property.
