Veronica joined the WKOW Sports Team in February 2013 as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. She previously worked in Richmond, VA as a News Video Journalist and Sports Reporter at WRIC.

Veronica graduated from the University of Georgia where she earned three Bachelors degrees in Broadcast News, Criminal Justice and Sociology. She also received a Certificate from the LEAD Program. She was a member of the UGA Dance Dawgs, dancing for men's and women's Basketball, and member of Sigma Kappa sorority. And yes, she did it all in four years!

She attended graduate school at Syracuse University receiving her Master's in Broadcast Journalism. While in school, she worked as a Weekend Reporter at WSYR.

Raised just outside of Richmond, Veronica is a huge NASCAR fan. But nothing can come close to the love she has for college football, especially when it comes to her Dawgs!

She took two years after graduating to compete in Miss Virginia, part of the Miss America program, and promote her platform of Organ Donation as a spokesperson and ambassador for the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).

Veronica loves to scuba dive, snowboard and travel, especially to Italy. She enjoys going to concerts and, like any true southerner, loves country music. She may be in the boy's club when it comes to sports, but she has a shoe obsession and even built (by hand) an entire closet for her clothes and shoes! She likes going to the gym and spending time with her two rescue dogs, Harley and Luke.

She's so excited to be able to cover sports in Madison! Make sure to follow her on Twitter at @Veronica_27SX. And feel free to email her anytime with a story, scores or just to chat!
