Chippewa County (WQOW) - Two people were hurt in a crash on Highway 29 on Thursday.
The crash happened at the intersection of 29 and 20th Street in Chippewa County. Investigators say one vehicle going west on 29 failed to yield as it turned onto 20th and hit another vehicle going east on 29. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Another person was flown from the scene with serious injuries.

On 03-07-13 at 1128am the Chippewa Sheriff's department and other emergency units responded to a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of STH 29 and 20th st. From the investigation and witness statements it appears that one of the vehicles were W/B on STH 29 and were in the process of turning S/B onto 20th st. The second vehicle was E/B on STH 29 approaching the intersection. The vehicle which was turning failed to yield to the E/B vehicle and turned in front of it. The E/B vehicle then struck the other vehicle broadside.
The crash caused extensive damage to both vehicles. The operator of vehicle that was struck broadside was transported by ambulance to an Eau Claire hospital. The passenger in that vehicle was flown from the scene with serious injuries. The operator and passenger of the E/B vehicle were not injured.
