PRESS RELEASE FROM TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT :
Township Fire units were called to respond to a crash on
Hillview Road and Butternut Road in the Town of Pleasant Valley. The call came in around 3:45 Sunday morning.
While responding
it was further learned that a snowmobiler had crashed on the trail between
Hillview Road and County I. Pleasant
Valley and Brunswick stations responded with their Special Rescue ATV's and
assisted in locating the crash and patient.
Responders had to deal with moderate fog and icy conditions due to the
warmer temperatures and light precipitation that had fallen earlier in the day
making some surfaces very slippery. Firefighters had just returned to the station earlier after responding
to a fire in a stove at W3940 Mitchell Road.
There was no damage. Home owner
was using the automatic cleaning feature on their oven when they noticed a
flame inside. Fire had self extinguished
when crews arrived.That call came in at 03:04am
