Colts sign former Packer LB Walden

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to deals with four free agents.

Less than two hours after the free agency market opened, the Colts had deals in place with offensive linemen Gosder Cherilus and Donald Thomas, cornerback Greg Toler and linebacker Erik Walden. Walden's deal is a 4-year contract worth $16 million. He started 25 total games for the Packers in the past two seasons.

Cherilus is a 6-foot-7, 325-pound right tackle who played for the Lions. Thomas is a 6-4, 305-pound tackle who played with the Patriots. Both should help protect quarterback Andrew Luck, who was sacked far too often for the Colts last season.
