Man arrested after Barron County high speed chase


Press Release from Barron County Sheriff's Department: On 3-14-13 at 12:09pm Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff's Dept were dispatched to 64 18th St just south of Dallas to locate Jared Brendel, 31 of that address.  Brendal was wanted by probation and parole and was said to be in possession of a firearm.  As deputies were arriving at the house, Brendel took off in a vehicle and a chase ensued with speeds reaching 90mph.  Barron County Sheriff's Deputies were assisted by Dunn County Deputies as the chase left Barron County and went into Dunn County and then back into Barron County.  The subject ended up back at his residence and he fled into the house where he was taken into custody without incident.

Brendel is being held in the Barron County Jail on charges of felony fleeing, felon in possession of the firearm, suspicion of operating a motor vehicle with under the influence of an intoxicant and a probation hold.
