DETROIT (WKOW) -- Toyota is recalling 209,000 FJ Cruiser SUV's due to a front seatbelt defect.
The seatbelt retractors in the front of the vehicle could fall off. Model years including in the recall are from 2007-2013.
Toyota says the driver and front passenger seatbelts are mounted on the vehicle's rear doors. If the doors are closed forcefully over a period of time, cracks can form in the door panel around the seatbelt retractor and the retractor can become detached.
No reports of injuries due to the defect have been reported. Owners will be notified by mail soon. There will be no cost to the vehicle owner for the repair.
