Altoona (Press Release) - Altoona Police Department is seeking to identify additional sexual assault victims.

On March 13, 2013 Altoona Police Investigators arrested Dennis Hess at his residence in Rusk County alleging that he sexually assaulted a child in the City of Altoona.

On March 15, 2013 the Eau Claire County District Attorney's Office issued a criminal complaint charging DENNIS R. HESS 08/22/1970 with Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child and Child Sexploitation.

Dennis Hess is alleged to have repeatedly sexually assaulted a child under 16 years old over a 10 year period. He is further alleged to have recorded the child engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Additional investigation indicates there are numerous potential victims of similar conduct in the Northwestern Wisconsin. Altoona Police investigators would like to speak with anyone with information regarding additional victims.

Altoona Police Department is presently being assisted by numerous other agencies including Rusk County Sheriff's Office, Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office, Eau Claire Police Department, Chippewa Valley Regional Computer Forensics Lab, and the Chippewa Valley Child Advocacy Center.

Dennis Hess is presently being held in the Eau Claire County Jail on a $50,000 Cash Bond.
