Eau Claire (WQOW) - There was plenty of green in downtown Eau Claire Sunday.

The 6th annual WHYS-FM Shortest Sidewalk Parade was held Sunday in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The event is a fundraiser for the all-volunteer radio station. The march began on Farwell Street before making its way to the acoustic cafe for some Irish food and music.

"My wife's Irish, her whole family is Irish. We owe it to all our relatives to be out here celebrating today. We wanted to have some fun, be outside, bring everyone's Irish heritage out," said WHYS-FM's Jimmy McShane.

A silent auction and donations helped raise more than $1,000 dollars for the station last year.
