Eau Claire (WQOW) - The next deer hunting season may be months away, but the DNR wants you to help start planning now.
Public forums are being held all across the state, with two in western Wisconsin this week. The DNR is looking for your input on the status of deer in the area and will have wildlife biologists on hand to answer any hunting questions.
The first forum in the Chippewa Valley will take place Thursday night at the DNC office on Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire. It runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Another is scheduled for Saturday morning in Baldwin from 9 a.m. to noon.
If you're unable to attend a meeting but still want to contribute, you can take part in an online survey. Just head to www.dnr.wi.gov and type in the search keywords "deer hunter forum."
