Police searching for suspect in beating outside Chippewa Falls bar


Press Release from the Chippewa Falls Police Department: On 3/17/13, a Chippewa Falls Police Officer saw a 21 year old male subject standing outside of the Village Tavern in Chippewa Falls.  The male was bleeding heavily from the mouth area, and sustained a broken jaw and lost several teeth.  The victim indicated that he was outside of the bar when a male subject exited the bar, walked up to him and punched him in the face several times.  The victim only knew the subjects first name was "Mike".  Witnesses and surveillance video identified the suspect as Michael J. Cohoon, Chippewa Falls.  Cohoon had fled the area before officers could make contact with him.  Officers have attempted contact with Cohoon several times with no success.
