MADISON (WKOW) -- A 33-year old Madison woman states she was walking in the 900 block of S. Park Street late Sunday night when a man pulled up next to her offering her a ride.

She ignored the stranger and kept walking. That's when he exited his vehicle and grabbed her arm, trying to pull her inside.

The victim was able to break free and run. She found someone out walking a dog and that person helped summon police.

An officer gave the woman a ride home. She described the suspect as a black man with dreadlocks. He was driving a boxy, newer model blue minivan and was last seen driving south on S. Park.
