Badgers excited for 15th straight NCAA tournament appearance

KANSAS CITY (WKOW) - For the 15th straight year, the Badger's men basketball team is playing in the NCAA tournament.

They will get their run started Friday morning against twelfth seeded Ole Miss. This is their first trip to the NCAA tournament since 2004.

Both the Badgers and the Rebels got to shoot around the Sprint Center Thursday afternoon, and excitement was in the air.

"We're excited. We're ready to play," said UW senior forward Mike Bruesewitz. "We're playing great basketball at the end of the season, which is where you want to be. If you're a college basketball player and you don't have a little butterfly in your stomach, you're not alive. This is the best time of the year."

Friday's match up tips off at 11:40 a.m. in Kansas City.
