MADISON (WKOW) -- Raising money will be a top priority for the new chancellor at the University of Wisconsin.
Acting U.S. Commerce Secretary Rebecca Blank said Friday she'll work closely with school and alumni foundations to figure out the best way to reach potential donors.
Blank also said on a conference call with reporters that she has no plans to try to separate the Madison campus from the rest of the UW system; something that was unsuccessfully tried in recent years.
Blank's job offer must still be approved by the UW Board of Regents next month.
She plans to start in July.
