JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A man has been charged with his 4th OWI offense.
On Saturday about 3:25 a.m. the Janesville Police Department responded to the area of Park Avenue and West Racine Street after a citizen was reported seeing a car operating in the area with a missing tire.
As officers checked the area, a parked trailer attached to a truck was found that was struck and damaged by a vehicle and a tire was left at the scene, most likely from the suspect vehicle.
Officers made contact at a residence on Johnson Street. The owner of the car, Brett Wiedmer, was arrested and charged with hit and run and his 4th OWI offense.
Wiedmer remains in custody at the Rock County Jail pending his court appearance.
