BELOIT (WKOW) -- Beloit police found an attempted murder suspect from Minnesota.
Beloit Police have been working with local and federal law enforcement officials in Moorehead, Minnesota in an attempt to apprehend an attempted murder and robbery suspect that was believed to be hiding out in the Beloit area for the past few weeks.
About 4 a.m. on Saturday, Beloit Police executed a search warrant at two east side homes in Beloit. Police were looking for two felony suspects wanted in connection with a shooting in Moorehead, Minnesota and an unrelated felony matter in Fargo, North Dakota.
Police searched the 1400 block of Randall Avenue. The Beloit tactical unit was assisted by members of the detective bureau, drug and gang unit, evidence technician unit, crisis negotiations unit and uniformed patrol division.
According to the Beloit Police Department, a total of eight people were detained, and two felony suspects were arrested. The attempted murder and robbery suspect was taken into custody and the other felony suspect was taken into custody.
During the execution of the warrant, one of the suspects refused to surrender. He was considered armed and dangerous. After a period of communications, chemical munitions were deployed into the residence where the suspect had concealed himself.
He surrendered just before 5:00 a.m. on Saturday.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police arrested Samuel Bullock, arrested on warrants to an attempted murder and robbery in Minnesota.
Denise Harlan was arrested on warrant for felony theft.
Both subjects are being held at the Rock County Jail pending extradition proceedings.
Police say no other information will be released until Monday.
