Stanley man involved in manhunt possibly facing more prison time

STANLEY - An area man who's in prison after leading police on two tense manhunts on the same day, now faces the possibility of even more prison time.

Shane Gregory, from Stanley, was charged this week in Buffalo County. He's accused of breaking into Mondovi-area businesses last October and stealing more than $10,000 worth of tools and copper wiring.

In December Gregory was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for trying to run down a Chippewa County deputy with his car. The incident led to armed manhunts in Chippewa County, and Altoona.

Gregory was also in court Wednesday in Clark County, where he pleaded not guilty to breaking into two homes and stealing about $3,000 worth of items.
