Veterans getting help with tuition

WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- Good news for military veterans.

The Department of Defense is picking up the tab for their tuition assistance programs.

The Army, Marines and Air Force suspended the programs because of the sequester.

But Congress passed a government funding bill which prevents the Pentagon from making those cuts.

Service members can get up to $4,500 a year for their education.
