MADISON (WKOW) -- Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle near a hit-and-run incident in the 800 block of S. Brooks Street. The vehicle had significant damage, and the driver's side air bag had been deployed.
The officer contacted 26-year-old Michael Muldoon about the accident, to which Muldoon said he had not been driving.
The officer smelled alcohol. Muldoon claimed he had not consumed any that day. Muldoon failed the field sobriety tests, and was taken into custody with a blood alcohol content of .22.
The vehicle was towed, and the 43-year-old victim did not sustain any injuries. Muldoon has been charged with his 5th offense for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, hit-and-run, and a stop sign violation.
