Early voting ends for spring election


Eau Claire (WQOW) - Absentee voting has wrapped ahead of the spring election. 

Friday was the last day to for residents to vote absentee in person in Eau Claire.  The city says about 375 people have voted early the spring election.  In Eau Claire, there are races for city council and school board, along with a statewide vote for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Polls in the City of Eau Claire open at 7:00 AM.  The city says it's not quite sure what to expect for turnout.  Statewide, the average turnout is expected to be around 20 percent.
