UPDATE: Gunshots heard in 2 places overnight in Fitchburg

FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- Police are investigating reports of shots fired in two locations in Fitchburg overnight.

Fitchburg Police say around 12:30 Saturday morning, three buildings were shot at in the 2800 block of Fish Hatchery Road. Officers found a number of shell casings at the scene. No one was hurt.

Three hours later, police responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of Raymond Road and Westchester Road, where officers also found a number of shell casings.

Police say no injuries or damage was reported, and they don't believe the  two incidents are related.

Both shootings are under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.

The Fitchburg Police Department says the incident happened about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday on the 2800 block of Fish Hatchery Road.

Police responded to a report of shots fired and officers found numerous shell casings at the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
