Ticket give away at polling place should not cause problems

RACINE (WKOW) -- State elections officials say a plan to give away free baseball tickets at a Racine polling place is probably legal.

Racine's parks and recreation department is giving away Milwaukee Brewers tickets for a recurring promotion event at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center on Tuesday.

The Journal Times of Racine reports the plan has sparked some concerns within the community.

Reid Magney, with the state Government Accountability Board, says there doesn't appear to be a conflict, but says there would be an issue if the organizers were only giving out tickets to people who voted.
