Lindsay is a true Wisconsin girl! She grew up in Appleton, graduated from UW Madison with a degree in journalism and spent much of her broadcasting career working at various stations in the Badger state.
Lindsay joined WKOW in March 2013 as co-anchor of Wake Up Wisconsin. She loves the early morning hours and is thrilled to be able to help you start your day with a smile and the latest information. Most recently, she was anchoring and reporting for NBC affiliate WILX in Lansing, Michigan. She has also worked in Green Bay and Eau Claire.
One of the things Lindsay loves most about journalism, is the opportunity to share the stories of remarkable people. She's interviewed presidential candidates, 'miracle on the Hudson' pilot Sully Sullenberger and Packers legend Bart Starr, but says it's the stories of every day Wisconsinites that stick with her the most.
She counts Wisconsin's battle over collective bargaining, Michigan's passage of Right-to-Work and the devastating 2008 Midwest flood, among her most memorable reports.
Lindsay was a Badger cheerleader during college, so expect to see her rooting for the red and white on game day. She's also a big Packers fan.
Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband, family and their big, furry cat, Bela. She's also an avid reader, ballroom dancer and distance runner. If you see her out in the community please say hello, she can't wait to get to know you.
Lindsay is always looking for story ideas. Email her at lveremis@wkow or find her on facebook and twitter.
