One person injured in Rock County shooting

TOWN OF BELOIT (WKOW) -- Just before 4:00 Wednesday morning, the Town of Beloit Police Department was called to reports of shots fired.

Officers from the Town and City of Beloit, along with the Rock County Sheriff's Department responded to the 1900 block of S. Wisconsin Avenue.

The initial investigation reveals a vehicle parked in a driveway was the apparent target of the shooting.  Four occupants, of Janesville, were inside the vehicle.

An adult female sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her arm.  She was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

Witnesses say the suspect left northbound on S. Wisconsin Avenue, driving a dark blue sedan.

The incident remains under investigation, as officers continue to interview witnesses and process evidence.
