Black River Falls (WQOW) - The Black River Falls Fire Department responded to a tractor fire on April 1, 2013 around 7:01 a.m.

The fire took place at the Hart Tie & Lumber Company on Winnebago Avenue in the City of Black River Falls. The department arrived on scene with six firefighters, and found the tractor to be fully engulfed in flames. After 40 minutes the department was unable to save the tractor, which has an estimated value of $3,500.

The department was paged again at 9:28 a.m. to the same address. This time the fire took place in a sawdust-shaving bin which employees had emptied sawdust-shaving from a wagon that was attached to the tractor involved in the earlier fire. At the time of the first fire the bin had been checked with a thermo imaging camera, but nothing was detected. The fire department was on scene for an hour.
