One dead, no kids seriously hurt in school bus crash

WADSWORTH, Ill. (AP) -- One person has died in a crash that caused a school bus to rollover in the Illinois village of Wadsworth, just south of the Wisconsin border, but official tell ABC 7 News in Chicago that none of the children were seriously hurt.

Lake County, Illinois hospitals are treating more than three dozen people who were injured in the crash.

A spokesman for Advocate Condell Medical Center, in Libertyville, says the hospital received 25 people from the crash, 23 of whom are in good to fair condition. Two others are in fair to serious condition.

Meanwhile, six others were taken to Vista Medical Center East, in Waukegan. One of them is in fair condition and five others are in good condition.

The Associated Press reports the person killed was in a vehicle that investigators say was hit by the school bus, which may have run a red light.
